Do you feel motivated?
It’s VERY easy to feel unmotivated, and for a variety of reasons. One of the most common reasons is a lack of clarity about what we want to achieve or how we can achieve our goals. When we feel unsure about our purpose or direction, we struggle to find the motivation to take action.
On top of that we have the eX factor - external stuff such as stress, anxiety, and negative experiences can also impact motivation levels. Sometimes, we simply feel overwhelmed by the tasks needed to accomplish the goal or we don’t feel confident in our ability to succeed so we use excuses to bypass even starting.
And then the burn - are you experiencing burnout? This doesn’t have to be what we think it is - often we associate burnout with working long hours/busy/no free time - but it can just be the overwhelm of all the information we’re consuming every day, which can result in a lack of balance particularly when it comes to switching off the brain and fully enjoying leisure time.
Understanding the reasons behind feelings of unmotivation is critical to finding ways to overcome them and regain the drive to achieve our goals.
The language we use about ourselves and the voice inside our heads can significantly impact our mindset and behavior. If we use positive language and self-talk, we are more likely to have a positive attitude towards ourselves and we can use this language to support and drive our own motivation.
Eh voila it can lead to more positive behaviors and outcomes!
When we speak kindly to ourselves and focus on our strengths and successes, we boost our confidence and self-esteem.
So let’s talk affirmation for motivation!
Don't be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart.
